Liverpool update stance on Harvey Elliott transfer after ‘disgraceful’ twist
Liverpool will not look to sell Harvey Elliott this summer despite his lack of action in the 2024-25 campaign, sources have told Football Insider.
The Reds view Elliott, 22, as an all-important homegrown talent with huge potential for the future – and will not accept a bid unless it is too good to turn down.
Liverpool fans took aim at Arne Slot’s “disgraceful” treatment of the young midfielder following his 19-minute cameo in the win over Leicester on Sunday (20 April).
Elliott has not started a single Premier League game since Slot succeeded Jurgen Klopp at Anfield last summer (2024).
Liverpool reluctant to accept Elliott bid
He has made 142 total appearances for Liverpool but has played just 637 minutes of action this term.
Borussia Dortmund and Brighton were among the sides linked with the 22-cap England Under-21 international, who is yet to make his senior debut for the Three Lions.

Elliott is under contract with Liverpool until June 2027 after penning his last extension in August 2022.
The midfielder joined the Reds from Fulham as a 16-year-old for a fee of almost £4.5million including bonuses.

Alexander-Arnold set to break Liverpool news soon
Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (21 April) that Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold is expected to break the news of his Real Madrid move soon.
Real are confident they have a free transfer deal for Alexander-Arnold in the bag – with the defender set to link up with friend and countryman Jude Bellingham.
Alexander-Arnold is out of contract at Anfield in June and publicly kept his cards close to his chest after scoring the winner against Leicester on Sunday.
