‘Liverpool’s first signing through the door could now be 21-yr-old – watch this’
Arne Slot is planning a busy transfer window at Liverpool as he looks to improve the squad which has cruised to victory in the Premier League this season.
The manager has highlighted a number of key positions for improvement and there is a growing belief they could spend big after last summer’s disappointing window.
Former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson exclusively told Football Insider that Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez could be the first signing through the door.
This comes after Football Insider revealed on 9 May that Liverpool are confident of signing Kerkez and have already begun working on the deal.
The 21-year-old Hungary international has emerged as one of the Reds’ top targets thanks to consistently impressive performances under Andoni Iraola.
Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed in March that Liverpool’s move for Kerkez is “progressing well” as his close friendship with Dominik Szoboszlai has played a key role.

Liverpool prepare to sign Milos Kerkez after Andy Robertson claim
Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Liverpool will meet Kerkez’s £40million asking price this summer.
Their interest in a new left-back comes amid concerns about the future of Andy Robertson, and they feel the Bournemouth star would represent a significant improvement.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Robinson explained that Robertson is no longer part of the long-term plans under Slot and a new left-back has emerged as a key position as a result.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if Kerkez was the first one through the door,” he told Football Insider.
“This has been talked about for a long time.
“He’s still only 21 and he’ll command a decent fee.
“He’s contracted until 2028, so there’s still a couple of years on his contract at Bournemouth which will ensure they get a good fee for him.
“Robertson isn’t the long-term answer for them, so this is a position they’re going to look at.
“Watch this space.”

Arne Slot eyes Rodrygo swoop after Real Madrid latest
Alongside the addition of a new left-back, the Reds are also set to improve at the other end of the pitch, with two star forwards now being considered.
Brown told Football Insider on 15 May that Real Madrid star Rodrygo is on Liverpool’s radar and his potential availability has put a number of clubs on alert.
His winning experience as a regular under Carlo Ancelotti is seen as a key asset, but a move will depend on whether they deem his lofty price tag good value for money.
This comes after Football Insider revealed Arsenal could be deterred from signing Rodrygo after learning of Madrid’s £85million demand.
