London club emerge as last-minute suitors for Newcastle 23-yr-old, loan exit close - Sky journalist

Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic is close to joining London-based club Fulham, according to a reliable journalist.
Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie has claimed on his personal Twitter account that the 23-year-old is nearing a move to the English Championship side.
It is understood that his switch to Craven Cottage could be sealed in the closing stages of deadline day after a loan move to Belgian club Anderlecht broke down earlier in the day.

Football Insider verdict
Mitrovic’s future has been a real topic of debate on deadline day and the latest interested club are meant to be English championship side Fulham. If he is to have a career at St James’ Park then perhaps a switch to Craven Cottage could be good for him. He is still a young centre-forward that has great power and has just lost his way recently. There is no doubt about his quality in front of goal, but he has just not quite managed to fully convince manager Rafael Benitez. Mitrovic just needs to be playing football during the rest of the campaign and he could certainly help spearhead a promotion bid for Fulham in the Championship.
