Newcastle fans react on Twitter to Kenedy display in Burnley draw
Kennedy made his debut in the draw against Burnley on Wednesday night – and the Newcastle United fans on Twitter have already fallen in love with their new signing.
The left-sided flyer joined the Magpies in the January window on loan until the end of the season from Chelsea and played 72 minutes for his new side on Wednesday night.
He assisted Jamaal Lascelles’ goal in the second-half which looked to be the winner at St James’ Park.
However, goalkeeper Karl Darlow netted an unfortunate own goal late on as the two teams drew 1-1 in the Premier League clash.
Rafael Benitez’s side will be disappointed to miss out on the three points and are now without a win in their last four league matches.
Newcastle fans on social media did find some enjoyment from the game as they raved about Kendey’s debut for the North-East club.
The 21-year-old Brazilian is a versatile player that can play anywhere on the left flank and Benitez decided to deploy him in a more advanced position.
He left Stamford Bridge in search of regular first-team football and the early signs are that he will quickly become a favourite with Newcastle.
