Sussed out - Lord Sugar slaughters Tottenham star player on Twitter
By Richard Parks
Lord Sugar has slammed Tottenham attacking midfielder Dele Alli as a cheat who has been sussed out by referees.
The former Spurs chairman took to his personal Twitter account during the second half of the team’s 1-0 Premier League win against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon to have a dig at Alli after he went down easily in the penalty area.
On one occasion, Alli tumbled somewhat dramatically over the Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey and the home side’s fans responded by chanting, “Dele Alli, he’s diving again”.
It is a feeling shared by Lord Sugar, who claimed on social media that the Spurs man “won’t get penalties as he is such a diver and has that reputation with the refs”.

Football Insider verdict:
It is beyond dispute that Alli is a fabulously gifted player, but his penchant for theatrics and falling to ground too easily is deeply unattractive and must be stamped out. As Lord Sugar points out, Alli’s antics does his team no favours as they are in danger of losing out on perfectly legitimate penalties and free-kicks because the player can’t be trusted to play the game fairly. Alli is young enough and smart enough to change his ways. It will benefit Spurs and himself if he does.
In other Tottenham news, it can be revealed the club are working on deals to sign up FIVE players, with three agreements virtually nailed on.
