Lord Sugar: This Tottenham 25-year-old must quit club in summer
Former Tottenham chairman Lord Alan Sugar has claimed that Erik Lamela must quit the club in the summer transfer window.
Lamela, 25, did not have an amazing performance in Spurs’ 1-0 win against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday and that has led Sugar to suggest that the Argentina club should be moved on as the next available opportunity.
The attacker has spent a lot of the last 18 months on the sidelines with a serious hip injury and has only made three Premier League starts since returning to full fitness.
Although he is highly-rated among the Tottenham fans, Sugar does not appear to be a fan and would like to see him leave North London.
“Lamela needs to leave at the end of the season,” he said on his personal Twitter account on Sunday during Spurs’ game against Palace.

Lamela has made 19 appearances in all competitions for Tottenham this season, scoring one goal and supplying three assists.
He was in stunning form before his devastating hip injury blow midway through last campaign, but he is yet to rediscover those displays where he seemed to be involved in the goals in every game he played.
Next up for Spurs is an FA Cup Third Round replay against Rochdale at Wembley.
Mauricio Pochettino is likely to take no chances in that game to ensure that there are no surprises against the League One club, however Lamela may be one player who is axed for the game.
