'Au revoir' - Lord Sugar calls on Tottenham to get rid of wide player

By Richard Parks
Lord Sugar has claimed on Twitter that Tottenham should get rid of Serge Aurier following his horror show against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Spurs stole a 1-0 win at Selhurst Park through a late Harry Kane header but Aurier brought embarrassment to the club when he became the first Premier League player in history to be guilty of three foul throws in the same match.
Asked if he said anything to Aurier, 25, in the immediate aftermath of a match in which the player also miss an open goal from yards out with the score at 0-0, manager Mauricio Pochettino said, as quoted by Football London: “Of course, yes. I said ‘come on, you are going to get me sacked!’ It looks like we are so bad and we don’t practice the throw-ins.”
Former Spurs chairman Lord Sugar insisted on his personal Twitter account that the club should take the matter into their own hands by ending the defender’s spell at the club after one season as he urged them to bid ‘au revoir’ (French for goodbye) to him.

Aurier joined the north Londoners last summer for £24million from Paris Saint-Germain as a replacement for Kyle Walker following his transfer to Manchester City.
Football Insider verdict:
Sure, Aurier’s throw-in blunders were embarrassing for the club and reflected badly on the player and the coaching staff. But Tottenham should be equally worried about the Ivory Coast international’s haphazard crossing and his poorly-timed challenges which frequently land their backline in trouble. Pochettino prefers to work with players and improve them rather than give up after one season, but Aurier’s explosive speed and romps up and down the flank are failing to mask his inadequacies. He needs to improve considerably, and Kieran Trippier is a far better option in the position.
In other Tottenham news, it can be revealed the club are working on deals to sign up FIVE players, with three agreements virtually nailed on.
