Lucas Paqueta and Jarrod Bowen react as emotional West Ham exit confirmed
Lucas Paqueta and Jarrod Bowen joined West Ham teammates in bidding farewell messages following an emotional exit from the club.
It’s been a disappointing season for the Hammers, who currently sit 15th in the Premier League table after a campaign marked by inconsistency and underperformance.
Graham Potter replaced Julen Lopetegui earlier in the season and managed to steer the club clear of relegation danger, but West Ham’s form has remained poor, with just two wins in their last ten league matches.
With a major rebuild looming, Football Insider revealed back in April that up to 10 senior players are expected to leave West Ham this summer.
It seems as if that exodus has already started to take place, with one player confirming their exit from the club.

Aaron Cresswell departs West Ham after 11 years of service
West Ham have officially confirmed that Aaron Cresswell will leave the club this summer, bringing an end to an 11-year spell in claret and blue.
Cresswell shared a series of photos capturing memorable moments from his time at the club. His post was simply captioned: “Thank You” and included a heartfelt letter addressed to the supporters.
Tributes quickly poured in from teammates past and present as Bowen commented “some guy” with a heart emoji, while Lucas Paqueta responded with a simple but powerful: “Legend.”
Former West Ham stars also joined in. Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice wrote, “what a player, even better person” and Pablo Fornals added, “West Ham legend.”
The 35-year-old joined the club in 2014 and made 367 appearances, becoming a reliable figure in defence over the years. However, his involvement has diminished in recent seasons, featuring just 16 times this year.

Lucas Paqueta set to receive verdict amid FA investigation
While Cresswell’s departure marks the end of a celebrated chapter, Paqueta’s future at West Ham remains clouded in controversy.
The midfielder is under investigation for alleged breaches of betting regulations, with the FA seeking a lifetime ban for Paqueta after issuing formal charges last May.
Despite the seriousness of the allegations, the Brazilian has continued to play for the club more than two years after the alleged incidents.
Financial advisor Stefan Borson told Football Insider the FA will want to resolve Paqueta’s situation before the start of next season, with a verdict expected within four to five weeks following the resumption of the hearing on 7 May.
