Lucas Paqueta, Evanilson react to Bruno Guimaraes’ ‘vital’ Newcastle message
West Ham star Lucas Paqueta and Bournemouth’s Evanilson have reacted to a message from Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimaraes on social media.
The Magpies suffered a bump in the road on their quest to qualify for Champions League football this season.
Former Newcastle man Yankuba Minteh opened the scoring for Brighton and followed it up with a slightly bizarre, and very prolonged celebration.
With Eddie Howe’s side on the brink of dropping three points, Liverpool target Alexander Isak came to the rescue in the 89th minute, scoring the equaliser for his side with a penalty late on.
Referee Craig Pawson had awarded two penalties earlier in the game, but both were chalked off by VAR.
Bruno Guimaraes sends message to Newcastle fans after dropped points
Following the draw, fan-favourite and captain Guimaraes posted several images on Instagram, captioned: “An important point given the circumstances. We keep pushing toward our goal. Your support will be vital next Sunday — let’s create an unforgettable atmosphere. Howay the lads!”
The post was then liked by the midfielder’s international teammates Paqueta and Evanilson, with both showing their support for the 27-year-old.

Football Insider Verdict
Many have claimed this is one of the Premier League’s worst seasons yet.
Liverpool have wrapped up the title, and Ipswich, Southampton, and Leicester have been confirmed to be heading back down to the Championship.
However, when you look a little closer, the fearsome battle for European places may do enough to disprove that.

Fulham, Bournemouth, Brighton, and Brentford are clambering over each other for Europa League football, whilst above them the race for Champions League football is as exciting as ever.
Newcastle have three brutal tests remaining, facing off against Chelsea, Arsenal, and Everton in their quest for a place in Europe’s premier competition next season.
The Magpies cannot afford to drop points with Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa within touching distance, and Howe will be reliant on his stars coming up with the goods, or else their brilliant season will all be for nothing.
