Lucas Perri’s summer exit edges closer as Leeds United eye Lukas Hornicek deal
Lucas Perri has failed to impress since his summer move to Leeds United last year.
The goalkeeper came into the club with expectations of becoming a first-team choice under Daniel Farke.
Yet, a series of underwhelming performances saw him replaced with Karl Darlow in January, and he was never able to regain his spot in the starting XI.
Now, a quick exit could be close with Lei do Mercado via Bola La Rede reporting on 27 May that Leeds are chasing Lukas Hornicek.
The Braga goalkeeper has been outstanding this season, and a summer move to Elland Road would surely push Perri out of Leeds.

The report states that Braga will play hardball over a Hornicek sale, and have no desire to see him leave.
The goalkeeper has been in top form this season, which helped the club reach the Europa League semi-finals.
| Lukas Hornicek’s Liga Portugal stats this season | Per 90 minutes |
| Goals conceded | 1.00 |
| Save percentage | 66.7% |
| Goals prevented | 0.20 |
| Penalty save percentage | 50% |
| Clean sheets | 0.50 |
He is also expected to go to the World Cup after being announced in Portugal’s preliminary squad.
Benfica and Porto are also chasing his signature, but Leeds’ Premier League status could prove to be a serious attraction.
Nevertheless, this news cements that Perri will not be a Leeds player for too long.
It is clear that Farke is hunting for a new goalkeeper this summer, and with Darlow already ahead of Perri, it makes sense that he will leave Elland Road rather than be third-choice.
However, it remains to be seen if anyone will come in for the goalkeeper after what has been a difficult 2025-26 campaign for the outcast.
Which other goalkeepers are Leeds linked with?
Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Leeds are also eyeing Dmytro Riznyk this summer transfer window.
The Shakhtar Donetsk stopper has caught the eye of the chiefs at Elland Road after an impressive campaign.
The 27-year-old has helped Shakhtar cruise to the Ukrainian Premier League title this season, while they also reached the semi-finals of the Conference League before they were knocked out by eventual winners Crystal Palace.
However, it remains to be seen who Leeds will opt to sign in the summer, with the goalkeeper department clearly an area that are looking to upgrade in the transfer window.
