Lukas Podolski posts memories of White Hart Lane on Twitter, Tottenham fans will be angered

Former Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski has shared memories of the Gunners’ success at White Hart Lane via Twitter after the famous stadium’s final match.
The prestigious ground received a fantastic send off of Sunday as Spurs ran out 2-1 victors over Manchester United.
It was an occasion that caused many to reflect on their happy memories of the ground and the success they received upon it.
Now, one of those was ex-Arsenal attacker Podolski, who took the opportunity to take a dig at Tottenham on social media by stating: “Thanks White Hart Lane for the great memories,” via his personal Twitter account alongside pictures of himself celebrating at White Hart Lane as well as the Gunners’ 2004 Premier League title clincher following the 2-2 draw between the two north London rivals.

Sections of the Tottenham fan base will of course be angered by these comments made by one of their fierce rivals ex-players.

However, Spurs supporters will also hold memories of completing their final campaign at White Hart Lane unbeaten, while also ending their 21-year wait to finish above the Gunners as Mauricio Pochettino’s team have earned a second placed finish.
Tottenham will now be looking to progress in England’s iconic Wembley Stadium in the next campaign before their move into a new 61,000-seater stadium.
