Mac Allister, Emi Martinez react to Tottenham star Cristian Romero amid exit links
Alexis Mac Allister and Emi Martinez reacted to a post from Tottenham star Cristian Romero amid speculation of an exit.
Spurs took their time getting their summer business started, but following Ange Postecoglou’s departure and Thomas Frank’s appointment in North London, the club have secured several signings.
Mohammed Kudus has made the switch from West Ham to Tottenham, whilst Mathys Tel, Luka Vuskovic, Kota Takai, and Kevin Danso have also completed permanent moves to the club.
However, not all their attempted deals have gone smoothly, as shown by Spurs’ pursuit of Morgan Gibbs-White.
Frank’s side triggered the midfielder’s release clause, and the 25-year-old looked North London-bound, only for Nottingham Forest to accuse the club of obtaining knowledge of the release clause illegally.
But Pete O’Rourke told Football Insider that Tottenham are still confident of completing Gibbs-White’s signing this summer, despite the delay.

Football Insider Verdict
O’Rourke revealed to Football Insider on 5 July that Tottenham are expected to accept an offer for Romero from Atletico Madrid.
The former Atalanta centre-back’s contract expires in 2027, and with no new signs of an extension, Spurs may look to cash in on the defender.
Losing Romero would be a massive blow for Frank, but in their game against Reading, a potential successor announced himself.
Having agreed a deal in September 2023, Vuskovic joined Spurs almost two years later, and the young Croatian defender stood out against the League One side.
The 18-year-old scored and assisted for his new side and despite his youth, the 18-year-old’s hulking presence allowed him to assert himself on the game.
