Major Celtic double boost confirmed for clash v Dundee, £1m player could feature

Brendan Rodgers has confirmed a major double boost for Celtic going into their game against Dundee at Parkhead on Wednesday with Patrick Roberts and Marvin Compper likely to return from injury.
Roberts, 21, has been out of action since November with a serious thigh injury while Compper, 32, is yet to make a single appearance in the green and white hoops since his £1million move from RB Leipzig in the January transfer window.
However that could all change on Wednesday as Rodgers told journalists on Monday afternoon that the duo could feature in Celtic’s next Scottish Premiership fixture.
“Patrick should be available for the squad. The idea was to work him back to the squad for the Dundee game. We’ll assess Marvin Compper too so there’s a possibility that he could be involved as well,” said Rodgers, as quoted by the Bhoys’ official Twitter account in his pre-match press conference.

Roberts has been one of the best players to grace Celtic Park in the past few seasons during an extended loan period from Manchester City.
The English attacker has made just 12 appearances in all competitions this season though due to injury, so having him back for the final few months of the campaign will be huge to the Bhoys’ hopes of winning a second domestic treble in a row.
Compper was snapped up by Rodgers from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig in January amid worries over the strength of his defensive options.
However the one-time Germany international’s history with injury problems haunted him almost as soon as he arrived in Glasgow with a calf problem keeping him sidelined.
In other Celtic news, controversial TalkSport host Adrian Durham has claimed that this key Bhoys man must quit Parkhead at the end of the season because of  Rangers.
