Teenager axed in Christiansen 4-2-3-1: Leeds best possible XI to play Ipswich
COMMENT By Danny Wright
Leeds United will have to make major changes to their squad in order to put out a best possible team to play Ipswich at Elland Road on Saturday when they return to Championship action.
Thomas Christiansen shuffled the pack ahead of Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup win over Burnley and he must now to do the same to get his side back up to full strength in order to keep hold of their spot at the top of the second-tier table.
One player who must be axed from the squad is 19-year-old teenager Ronaldo Vieira, who despite playing well at Turf Moor, cannot keep his spot in the side when Eunan O’Kane and Kalvin Phillips have performed so well next to each other in the early fixtures of this campaign.
In total, Christiansen has to make nine changes to his side in order to field his best possible XI.
Felix Wiedwald must return between the sticks in place of Andy Lonergan.

There are doubts about the fitness of both Liam Cooper and Pontus Jansson, but in the best possible team, both of them could be fit to play against Ipswich.
The centre-backs should have Luke Ayling and Vurnon Anita playing on either side of them in the full-back slots.
O’Kane and Phillips have to return to the centre of the park and replace Mateusz Klich and Vieira behind Samu Saiz in the No 10 position.
Pablo Hernandez and Kemar Roofe have been in great form as of late so they must line up on the wings and provide support to Pierre-Michel Lasogga, who needs to find his shooting boots against Mick McCarthy’s side this weekend.
