‘Man City could now agree £100m Gibbs-White deal’
Man City are searching for a long-term replacement for club legend Kevin De Bruyne ahead of his exit at the end of this season.
Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White has been widely linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium after his impressive form at the City Ground this term.
Football Insider revealed on Sunday (13 April) that Forest are keen to open talks with star man Gibbs-White over a potential new contract.
The Midlands giants will do everything to keep the 25-year-old, who is currently out of contract in June 2027, at the club.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – has insisted he expects City to tap Gibbs-White as their choice to replace De Bruyne.
Man City will have to pay £100m to land Gibbs-White, says Wyness
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness has claimed there will be no justification for Forest to accept less than £100million for Gibbs-White.
The England international has notched five goals and nine assists in 31 appearances across all competitions this term.

Wyness insisted Gibbs-White is the obvious replacement for the Belgian midfielder.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “Morgan Gibbs-White is the model player City will be looking for right now.
“He fits the bill, he’s proven in the Premier League.
“I think in this City team he would shine, and he’s the best replacement I can see for De Bruyne right now.
“But Forest, Marinakis – they won’t be easy to deal with right now.
“They’ll be wanting around the £100million mark. Gibbs-White has been up there in terms of performances this season, so it’s hard to justify a lower offer right now.
“I think Gibbs-White will be the one they look at.”

Tottenham set to block Man City’s Udogie move
Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed on Wednesday (16 April) that Tottenham are confident of keeping left-back Destiny Udogie at the club despite reported interest from Man City.
Pep Guardiola‘s side will be in the market for a new marquee left-back signing this summer – with youngster Nico O’Reilly currently starting in the position.
But Spurs are confident Udogie’s long-term contract will give them sufficient leverage to reject bids in the off-season – with the Italy international’s deal running until June 2030.
