Man City fans make one demand as Oscar Bobb to Borussia Dortmund update emerges: ‘I’m a firm believer’
Man City supporters have made their feelings clear as Oscar Bobb appears set to depart the Premier League ahead of the January window.
Borussia Dortmund lead the race for Bobb’s signature, with the transfer window opening in just a matter of hours, and he is not the only forward being linked with an exit from the Etihad.
It is understood that Tottenham are interested in Omar Marmoush, with no player able to knock Erling Haaland out of the starting lineup, and Bobb is facing a similar situation on the flanks.
Pep Guardiola has given Bobb just five Premier League starts in 2025-26, totalling 17 appearances across all competitions, but supporters have expected his exit for quite a while now.

Man City fans want a buy-back clause in a deal for Oscar Bobb
Especially now that Man City are edging closer to signing Antoine Semenyo, the Norwegian youngster’s departure looked inevitable, so very few supporters have been taken by shock.
However, what is clear is that fans love the 22-year-old, who was forced to return from a long-term injury after last season. Many are asking if a buy-back clause is going to be involved in the deal.
One supporter said that Bobb is “way too good a talent” not to bring back, with another admiring his “incredible technique”. It would not be the first time that City have done business with Dortmund.
- @KunAguero_SZN: “Hope a buy-back clause is included for Bobb, way too good a talent to be losing permanently again.”
- @JCHawkk: “I’m still a firm Bobb believer. Guy has incredible technique, hope this move does him well and that we have a buy-back clause.”
- @holdenomalley: “Buy-back on Bobb?”
What other deals have Man City done with Borussia Dortmund?
A Man City winger joining Dortmund will not be unfamiliar to many supporters. Jadon Sancho left the academy to join the German giants, where he spent four successful years.
Of course, Guardiola added Haaland to his squad not that long ago, and since his move to the Premier League, the Norwegian star has only gone from strength to strength in the final third.
Ilkay Gundogan is another huge name who made the move across to England, joining Manuel Akanji in that list, while Yan Couto finally ended up in Germany after a spell in Spain.
The Brazilian full-back, however, never made a first-team appearance for the Citizens, so he might be a name that goes under the radar for some supporters.
