Man City fans suggest Pep Guardiola in dressing room bust-up as footage drops

Man City fans believe there may be issues between Pep Guardiola and Ederson after the manager’s reaction to his backheel in their 1-1 draw with Newcastle on Saturday (September 28).

The eccentric 31-year-old decided to play a cheeky backheel pass while outside of his area and under immense pressure from Newcastle forward Anthony Gordon.

The camera then cut to Guardiola, 53, on the touchline with the manager having an unimpressed look on his face.

Football Insider revealed (August 4) that Ederson had a ‘huge offer from Saudi Arabia over the summer transfer window but the Brazilian shot-stopper opted to stay with the Premier League champions.

Croatian defender Josko Gvardiol opened the scoring with a brilliant close-range effort in the 35th minute.

Ederson then made headlines again, bringing down Gordon to gift the home side a penalty and a way back into the game.

Gordon expertly dispatched the spot kick to earn a vital point as Newcastle remain in contention for Champions League qualification.

Ederson has played every minute for Man City so far this season, conceding just six goals across all competitions.

Still, Guardiola was visibly unhappy with the ‘keeper and Man City fans took to social media to discuss the relationship between the two.
