Man City v Liverpool: Kyle Walker will decide outcome of showdown as Agbonlahor makes 'big' claim

Kyle Walker’s return means Man City will be able to hold Liverpool to a low scoring draw on Sunday (10 April), according to Gabby Agbonlahor.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted it will be a “very entertaining game” but both defences are in great form.

Walker, 31, missed City’s 1-0 Champions League win over Atletico Madrid through suspension but will return for the visit of Liverpool.

Pep Guardiola’s side are a point clear of their title rivals with eight games left to play and Sunday’s game could decide who lifts the trophy.

“My prediction is a draw,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“The only reason I’m going for a draw is that Kyle Walker will be back and nobody gets past Kyle Walker. He’s going to be a big addition to that defence for Man City.

“With [Ibrahima] Konate, [Joel] Matip and [Vigil] Van Dijk, Liverpool are looking very strong defensively as well. They are in good form.

“City’s lack of striker might affect them in this game. I think a draw, a 1-1 draw for me. It will be a very entertaining game but there will not be many goals.

“Kyle Walker will cover half that defence with his speed and I’ve not seen anybody get past him for years.”

The two sides drew 2-2 when they met at Anfield earlier this season.

Liverpool last beat City in November 2019 when goals from Fabinho, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane secured a 3-1 victory.
