Man United ace Kobbie Mainoo sends message to Cole Palmer after new twist
Man United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo took to social media to send a message to Chelsea star Cole Palmer after they both featured on British GQ’s Men of the Year cover.
Palmer, 22, and Mainoo, both enjoyed breakout campaigns last season, establishing themselves as key members of England’s next generation and earning call-ups to Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad.
While Palmer has kicked on and continued to prove how valuable he is for both club and country, Mainoo has struggled for fitness this season as Man United sit in 13th after their opening 11 Premier League games.
Lots has happened at Old Trafford since Mainoo made last appearance in their 0-0 draw with Aston Villa at the start of October.
Erik ten Hag, the man who brought him into the first team, has been sacked, and the young midfielder will have to work hard to impress new manager Ruben Amorim.

With the new era at Man United well underway, Mainoo will be keen to shake off his muscle injury and help the club put their dismal start to the season behind them.
Palmer is second only to Mohamed Salah in terms of Premier League goal contributions so far this season as Chelsea sit in third.
While resting up throughout the international break, Mainoo took to Instagram to leave Palmer a message after their photoshoot.

This isn’t the first time Palmer has featured in a campaign such as this, he recently became the face of the British luxury brand Burberry.
Attention will shift from the catwalk to the football pitch once the international break is over, with Chelsea set to face Leicester City while Man United take on Ipswich Town in Amorim’s first game.
