Man United fans are saying the same thing after Lisandro Martinez update
Man United defender Lisandro Martinez has been sidelined for the last eight months after suffering a serious knee injury against Crystal Palace.
Lisandro Martinez has been a key man for Man United since his arrival from Ajax in 2022, but has also missed a lot of games through numerous serious injuries in recent seasons.
United struggled towards the end of last season after Martinez had suffered a serious knee injury against Crystal Palace in February, with Ruben Amorim’s three-centre-back formation relying heavily on his flexibility and speed.
Martinez began individual training last month as he stepped up his recovery, and his return is set to serve as a huge boost to the Red Devils in the midst of some strong form.
Reports last week stated that Martinez was due to be back in training in the near future, and the positive updates around his recovery have only continued.

Martinez is back in full training for Man United
Amorim provided an update on the Argentina international’s recovery status last week, saying: “He trained really well. He was on the next pitch and I was watching.
“He’s training really well, the knee is looking well but I don’t want to say a specific week [for his return] and then it depends on Licha, whether he wins the spot.”
Now, ahead of their trip to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, 1 November, Man United have officially confirmed that Martinez has started full training with his teammates once again after last playing in February.
Their official statement read: “(Martinez) has been putting in the hard yards over the last few months at Carrington, as part of his rehabilitation programme.
“That gradual process has now reached a significant step, with Martinez able to join the group again out on the grass.”
Man United fans ecstatic at Martinez’s return
Martinez is loved by United supporters for his fiery, all-action style of play, and their fans have reacted accordingly to news of his return to training.
Taking to X, one fan wrote: “Haha the best defender in epl is back. Title charge starts now!!!!,” while another said: “Fully gassed about Licha’s return. Hope his body can deal with it because if he gets back towards his best, this team takes another big step forward under Amorim.”
Another looked towards the weekend and said: “Pray for Nottingham Forest,” while one supporter added: “Licha is back, we ain’t losing anymore.”
One of his teammates could be facing some time out of the side as a fan said: “The tiger is back. Luke Shaw should be ready to vacate.”
