Man United fans in surprise agreement as Victor Lindelof news emerges

Man United fans are excited about Victor Lindelof’s return to the first team after he was back in training this week.

The 30-year-old has been out of action since 19 December against Tottenham when he sustained an injury, and he has been working on rehabilitation ever since.

The Sweden international is out of contract at Old Trafford this summer, giving him the chance to show his worth to the football club until then.

The central defender has only made nine appearances for the club this season, spending just 59 minutes on the pitch in the Premier League.

Lindelof could be set to make his on-field return on Sunday (16 February) when the Premier League giants fans Tottenham.

Victor Lindelof’s return is good timing after Lisandro Martinez latest

Football Insider revealed that United were open to letting Lindelof leave last summer, but he stuck around and could now be set for a big role.

Lindelof’s return to fitness comes at a good time for United considering the recent injury to Lisandro Martinez.

The Argentina international sustained a season-ending knee injury against Crystal Palace, which has left the 20-times champions short of defensive options.

Lindelof will be able to fill that gap for Ruben Amorim’s side until the end of the season, which is a positive situation for the club.

Man United fans are pleased to see Lindelof back

Lindelof has come under criticism at times throughout his United career due to inconsistent performances, but supporters have been pleased to see him return to training this week in what may be deemed as a surprise in some quarters.

Fans believe that he will be “perfect” to play in the right centre-back role in Amorim’s system moving forward.
