Man United make ‘huge’ transfer U-turn over player who’s won Ruben Amorim over
Man United have enjoyed a slight revival after their poor start to the season at Old Trafford and things are now starting to look up for them.
Ruben Amorim’s side won 2-1 against Liverpool last time out thanks to goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Harry Maguire, either side of Cody Gakpo‘s strike.
United remain ninth in the Premier League table, but victories against Chelsea, Liverpool and Sunderland have given them reason to be optimistic.
Meanwhile, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has decided to support Amorim and recently revealed he would be prepared to give him as long as three years to turn their recent results around.
That backing is expected to be reaffirmed by their actions in the January transfer window, with plans already being put in place to strengthen his squad.

Ruben Amorim makes Senne Lammens U-turn at Man United
Former chief scout Mick Brown previously told Football Insider that Amorim wanted to sign a new goalkeeper amid concerns about Altay Bayindir and Senne Lammens.
However, they are now expected to make a U-turn on their search for a new number one following the performances of Lammens against Sunderland and Liverpool.
That is according to former Man United chief scout Brown, who worked at Old Trafford for over a decade during the club’s most successful period, as he exclusively told Football Insider that the 23-year-old has proven to be a capable first-choice for Amorim.
“Lammens has done everything that’s been asked of him so far,” he told Football Insider.
“He comes and claims crosses to take pressure off his defenders, he looks safe in possession, never looks like he’s going to spill the ball or anything like that.
“It’s only been two games, but they’ve been two big games, and you don’t get bigger than winning against Liverpool away from home, so he’s got some bottle as well.
“The confidence he shows rubs off on the other players as well.
“I think he’s done a fantastic job, and from Man United’s point of view, they are very pleased.

“It looks to me like he’s solved what has been a massive problem for Man United in recent years.
“By all accounts, he’s won over the manager and convinced him he deserves to be the first-choice goalkeeper, so it looks like he will remain in goal now.
“That then means they don’t have to scramble around looking for a new goalkeeper in the transfer market like they had planned to do, and can focus elsewhere instead.”
This comes after Football Insider revealed on 5 October that Amorim was keen for Lammens to prove himself and earn his place in the starting XI.
Man United set sights on Conor Gallagher as new priority
With a new goalkeeper no longer topping United’s list of priorities ahead of the January transfer window, they look set to focus their attentions on other areas of the squad.
Football Insider revealed last month that Man United are desperate to sign a new midfielder after missing out on a number of key targets in the summer.
As a result, Football Insider revealed on 22 October that Man United are interested in Conor Gallagher, who could be given the green light to leave Atletico Madrid.

Gallagher was heavily linked with a return to the Premier League in the summer, with Crystal Palace, Tottenham and Newcastle all admirers of his.
With the World Cup coming up at the end of the year, he is keen to play regular football to catch the eye of Thomas Tuchel and cement his place in the England squad.
