Man United news: Campbell verdict on potential £100m windfall after source's reveal
Man United will struggle to raise £100million from the sales of Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Anthony Martial, Alex Telles and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to Kevin Campbell.
The former Arsenal and Everton striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed teams will look to exploit the Red Devils this summer in the knowledge they want to revamp their squad.
According to ESPN‘s Rob Dawson (25 April), the club are willing to listen to offers for Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Anthony Martial, Alex Telles and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
It comes after a United source Football Insider (23 April) that incoming manager Erik ten Hag will have a budget of just £50million in the summer window.
Ten Hag will be entrusted with overhauling a United squad that has struggled this season.
When asked if the club could raise £100million from the aforementioned players’ departures, Campbell told Football Insider:

“I think they would raise a decent amount if they sold them all.
“But when teams know you want to sell, they will want to chip you. We have seen it at Arsenal over the last few years. AS Roma tried to get [Granit] Xhaka on the cheap last summer and this is what teams will do. They know you have to sell.
“It will be an interesting summer at Man United, that’s for sure.
“Could they get £100million from those players? I’m not so sure. I don’t think they’ll recoup their money on any of them.”
