Man United 'not happy' with Dean Henderson after incendiary comments - pundit
Dean Henderson should not have criticised Man United after arriving at Nottingham Forest on loan.
That’s according to former Rangers and Scotland boss Alex McLeish, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the stopper’s latest comments.
Henderson, who joined Nottingham Forest on loan earlier this summer, launched a scathing attack on his parent club in an interview with The Athletic (2 August).
The 25-year-old claims he was told he would be Man United’s number one ahead of the 2021-22 season, in which he only made three appearances.
He also revealed he turned down loan offers this summer and feels that he has wasted a year of his career, something he described as “criminal”.
McLeish insists Man United will not be happy with this development.

“Well, you don’t want to be doing that, that would be my advice,” McLeish told Football Insider’s Ben Wild.
“He obviously has an agent who is guiding him, he has friends and family who will be saying things.
“He’s clearly frustrated at the situation and wants to make it public. Man United will not be too happy with that.
“I think he just wanted to get it off his chest. Obviously, we have a little way to go before we can compare him to De Gea because he hasn’t been playing week in and week out.
“He has a couple of hurdles to get over before he has that spot at Man United.”
Henderson has made 29 total appearances for Man United.
He is set to make his Forest debut against Newcastle United on Saturday (6 August).
