Four Man United stars named and shamed by pundit after journalist’s Harry Maguire update
Paul Robinson has pointed the finger at Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba, Cristiano Ronaldo and David de Gea amid question marks over Harry Maguire’s captaincy at Man United.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one claimed the aforementioned players “need to all step up to the plate.”
A United source told this site (11 April) that the club have chosen Erik ten Hag as their next manager and are set to trigger his release clause at Ajax.

According to the Manchester Evening News‘ Samuel Luckhurst (18 April), the Dutch manager could strip Maguire of the captaincy at Old Trafford.
Maguire captained the Red Devils on Tuesday night as they were humiliated by Liverpool at Anfield.
When asked for his assessment of Maguire’s captaincy, Robinson told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs: “Man United have far bigger problems to address than who is their captain.
“They need to all step up to the plate and be captains. There is a lot of big names there but none of them are being leaders on the field.
“Every one of those players should be a captain. I’m talking about the likes of Fernandes, Pogba, Ronaldo, De Gea… These are big, big players. They should all be captains.

“Who wears the armband should be irrelevant these days. The pressure around Harry Maguire and the speculation that surrounds him makes it hard for him. Being captain doesn’t effect his performance.
“Fernandes, Pogba, Ronaldo, De Gea should all be helping him out in that respect. Yes, Maguire has been poor this year but other need to take accountability.”
