Man United set sights on Elliot Anderson alternative who has insane energy
Man United have enjoyed a fantastic turnaround in their form recently and the future is finally beginning to look positive at Old Trafford.
Ruben Amorim’s side beat Brighton 4-2 last time out, handing the Red Devils their third consecutive win and firing them up to sixth in the Premier League table.
As a result, Amorim has eased pressure on his job at Man United, while Sir Jim Ratcliffe has decided to support Amorim and his decision has been vindicated.
Plans are now being put in place for the January transfer window, as Football Insider revealed last month that Man United are desperate to sign a new midfielder.
A number of top-level players have emerged on their shortlist, but their sights have now been set on Atletico Madrid’s former Chelsea star Conor Gallagher.

Conor Gallagher emerges as an option for Man United
Football Insider revealed on 22 October that Man United are keeping tabs on Gallagher, who could be allowed to leave Atletico Madrid in the January transfer window.
The Red Devils see the England international as an alternative to Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson, amid concerns about his “huge” asking price at the City Ground.
That is according to former Man United chief scout Mick Brown, who worked at Old Trafford for over a decade during their most successful period, as he exclusively told Football Insider that Gallagher has been on United’s radar for some time.
“Conor Gallagher is an option for United,” he told Football Insider.
“He’s a busy player, he’s got legs and can get about the pitch, he would bring energy and drive to the midfield where you could say they are lacking at the moment.
“That’s what United need, somebody who can make an impact all over the pitch and has the ability to be as useful defensively as he is going forward.
“Gallagher has been on their radar for a while, because he certainly fits that bill.
“When you look at other midfielders they’ve been linked with, Elliot Anderson for example would take a huge fee to get him out of Nottingham Forest.

“So that might be an issue for United depending on their financial situation.
“I don’t think Gallagher would cost as much as that, and if he is available during the January transfer window, he could be one United make a move for.”
However, Football Insider revealed on 19 October that Atletico Madrid will demand a “huge” fee for Gallagher and are reluctant to sell him midway through the season.
Carlos Baleba update emerges after Man United v Brighton
Alongside links with moves for Gallagher and Anderson, the likes of Morten Hjulmand and Carlos Baleba are also on Man United’s list of midfield targets.
This comes after Football Insider revealed on 23 September that Baleba has had his head turned by Man United after they attempted to sign him in the summer.
As a result, his performance against Amorim‘s side last weekend was seen by many as an audition and chance to prove he could make the switch.

However, Brown told Football Insider that Baleba struggled to impress against Man United, casting doubts about their pursuit given the other names on their radar in his position.
That has been labelled a “major concern” both for United and for Brighton given the downturn in his performances since speculation began in the summer.
