Man United star Marcus Rashford has held talks in the United States with Jay Z and his Roc Nation Sports agency, Football Insider can reveal.

The England international, 22, is the latest high-profile Premier League player to be targeted for a blockbuster commercial deal by the US music king.

A US source has told Football Insider that Rashford held negotiations with Roc Nation during the Superbowl final on Sunday night between winners Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers.

Roc Nation are looking to take care of his talent management and commercial opportunities.

Jay Z’s talent stable already includes Rashford’s former Old Trafford team-mate Romelu Lukaku, who was the first to sign up, Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne and Chelsea’s Reece James.

Rashford has developed into one of Europe’s most feared attacking players since graduating from the United youth ranks.

He is currently sidelined with a long-term back injury after his best season yet, in which 31 appearances have yielded 19 goals.

Lukaku, 24, was “welcomed to the family” during a trip to New York two years ago and officially signed in April 2018.

Lukaku, whose football agent is Mino Raiola, finalised a deal while he was in the Big Apple, watching a basketball game between the Brooklyn Nets and Chicago Bulls.

Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports talent stable is an extension of his entertainment company Roc Nation, which counts chart-topping superstars such as Shakira and DJ Khaled among its ranks.
