Antony has enjoyed an impressive start to life at Real Betis, having scored three goals, provided one assist, and earned three ‘Player of the Match’ awards since making his debut, which qualifies as a shock turnaround following his United troubles.
Football Insider reported back in October that Manchester United were open to considering offers for Antony, and as the January transfer window drew to a close, the Brazilian secured a loan move away from Old Trafford.
The winger had struggled to find regular game time at United this season, rarely featuring under both Erik ten Hag and new manager Ruben Amorim.
Antony failed to start a single Premier League match and was only named in the starting XI twice, both of which were in the Carabao Cup. Already, he has made more starts at Betis, despite having only joined the club a few weeks ago.

Amad could be sidelined for the rest of the season after picking up an injury in training, leaving United with limited options in his absence.
The young winger has been crucial for the club, scoring nine goals and providing seven assists in 36 appearances this season. He has also been a regular starter in the Premier League, featuring in 17 matches from the outset.
With Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Jadon Sancho all leaving on loan, the club’s options to replace Amad are now very limited, forcing them to rely on academy players.
Given Antony’s resurgence at Betis, many fans have called for the winger to be recalled to help alleviate the growing injury crisis at the club.
