‘Man United to sell hideous Alejandro Garnacho’ after Nottingham Forest – Fans rage

Man United fans want to see Alejandro Garnacho sold after a miserable display against Nottingham Forest.

Following the international beak, the Red Devils were hoping to see their side find some form following a dismal season.

In spite of Forest being imperious this season, the Tricky Trees’ starting XI was weakened by injuries to Chris Wood and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

However, Forest came flying out of the gates, with ex-Man United man Anthony Elanga scoring the opener.

United responded by dominating possession and offering more attacking threats than their Premier League rivals, but were unable to find their way back into the game.

Whilst the Red Devils were once again wasteful in attack, fans were quick to direct their frustrations towards Garnacho in particular.

Alejandro Garnacho’s wasteful shooting leaves Man United fans furious

It is a testament to the Argentinean winger’s positioning that Garnacho managed to have six shots against the Tricky Trees and was shrugged off the ball by Elanga on his way to goal.

Those six shots come with the caveat that the United academy graduate failed to hit the target once during Tuesday’s match (1 April), with three shots off target and three of them blocked.

Whilst his shooting left a lot to be desired, Garnacho‘s crossing also left the Red Devils’ fanbase bewildered, as the winger failed to complete any accurate crosses from seven attempts.

Man United could sell Alejandro Garnacho to Chelsea or Atletico Madrid

United are staring down the barrel of the Premier League‘s profit and sustainability rules (PSR) this year, and may choose to sell the Argentine winger in an attempt to make a profit and bolster this summer’s transfer budget.

Chelsea have been linked with a move for Garnacho, as Mykhailo Mudryk’s future is shrouded in uncertainty, following a failed drugs test whilst on international duty with Ukraine in December.

Atletico Madrid were also linked with a move for Garnacho in January, with the winger having been a part of their academy set-up before his move to England.

With United seemingly willing to sell, fans have few concerns about where the winger will go, instead being more pressed about when the 20-year-old will leave.

One fan said the club should “take the £50million pure profit and run”, whilst another added Garnacho was “utterly hideous” against Forest and needed replacing immediately.
