Man United to sell superstar this summer – ‘it’s Jadon Sancho MK II’

Man United are set to sell Marcus Rashford on a permanent basis during the summer transfer window as his situation continues to mirror that of Chelsea loanee Jadon Sancho.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that Rashford’s “got no future” at Old Trafford after what took place in January.

The England international joined Aston Villa on loan until the end of the season after dropping out of the United team after Ruben Amorim’s arrival.

The United boss has publicly called out Rashford’s attitude and effort in training as to why he wasn’t playing for the 20-time champions, and his long-term future remains unclear.

Industry insider Mick Brown revealed to Football Insider that Unai Emery has informed Rashford that he will need to improve his performances under him, placing pressure on the versatile forward.

The 27-year-old is under contract at United until 2028, meaning United will need to make a decision on his future.

Man United treated Jadon Sancho similarly to exit-bound Marcus Rashford

Sancho found himself in a similar situation to Rashford where he fell out with the manager, Erik ten Hag, which led to him getting a short loan deal to Borussia Dortmund.

The left winger now finds himself on a season-long loan at Chelsea where the Blues have an obligation to buy him for up to £25million in the summer, guaranteeing an end to his time at United.

Villa do not have an obligation to sign Rashford, but due to the tension between him and Amorim, many believe he could bring a permanent end to his spell at United as well.

Marcus Rashford is set to follow in the footsteps of Chelsea loanee Jadon Sancho

“Somebody will buy Marcus Rashford in the summer,” Robinson told Football Insider.

“Is it a Jadon Sancho situation where he goes away for six months, the manager departs and he comes back into Old Trafford?

“I mean, we know Sancho has moved on again to Chelsea.

“But actually, with Ruben Amorim in charge at Manchester United, who they’re seemingly investing in for the long term, as long as he’s there, Marcus Rashford’s got no future after what’s happened this window.

“For him to play at Villa regularly and to get back to the levels.
