Man United told £40m Maghnes Akliouche offer will be accepted
Manchester United will have to pay upwards of £40million if they want to sign Monaco star Maghnes Akliouche this summer.
The Red Devils are looking to sign a new attacker this summer as they likely prepare to return to the Champions League next term.
Akliouche has been linked with a move to Old Trafford in the midst of an impressive season at Monaco that has seen him become a regular in the senior France squad before the World Cup.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, the Ligue 1 outfit are set to demand at least £40m to part with the 24-year-old playmaker.
Man United’s transfer plans will be dictated by their fortunes between now and the end of the season, as well as who is appointed as their next permanent manager.

Akliouche has registered seven goals and assists each in 37 appearances across all competitions so far to help Sebastien Pocognoli’s side into fifth place as it stands.
He is a right-winger by trade, but can also play on the left, which is the position that the Red Devils are focusing on ahead of the summer.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “I’m sure there’ll be a number of clubs who’ll be keeping tabs on Akliouche this summer.
“He’s under contract at Monaco until 2029, so they would demand a decent fee for him, probably around £40m plus.”
Man United plan to accept new offer for Joshua Zirkzee
While United are targeting new wide attackers, they could also let a centre-forward go so that Matheus Cunha is able to play through the middle more often.
Sources have told Football Insider that United are open to offers for Zirkzee this summer after his failure to make an impact throughout the 2025-26 campaign.
The Dutchman has scored just twice in 20 appearances this season, and the club will not stand in the way of him leaving, with several Italian clubs believed to be keeping tabs on his services.
