Kieran Maguire makes bold Man United prediction after Sky update on major announcement
Richard Arnold is a continuity candidate for the soon-to-be-vacant managing director role at Man United.
So says finance expert Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider with United reportedly on the brink of appointing Arnold.
Sky Sports claimed on 4 September that Arnold could be announced as Ed Woodward’s successor as soon as next month.

Woodward announced that he would quit the club in the aftermath of the European Super League debacle in April.
His reign has been marked by soaring commercial profits but limited success on the pitch.
And Maguire anticipates more of the same when Arnold is named as his successor.
He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “Richard Arnold is a safe pair of hands. He knows the club inside out.
“From the Glazers’ perspective, and ultimately this is going to be their decision, United have delivered profits year in, year out.
“They have delivered dividends, so why upset the apple cart by bringing in someone who doesn’t have a close knowledge of the club?
“The manager has only been in charge for a couple of years. Solskjaer is still finding his feet, to a certain extent.

“We saw what happened with Sir Alex Ferguson and David Gill leaving at the same time. United effectively went into a bit of a tailspin.
“Why risk that again? Ed Woodward has many skills but knowledge of football is not one of them.”
