Manchester United are planning a double raid on European rivals and French outfit Monaco this summer, according to a reliable journalist.
Mohamed Bouhafsi, who is the chief football editor for RMC Sport, has claimed on his personal Twitter account that Jose Mourinho’s side are interested in midfielder Fabinho and defender Djibril Sidibe.
It is understood that the Premier League side have begun discussions with the entourage of midfield destroyer Fabinho despite further interest from Atletico Madrid, but they are yet to submit an offer for the Brazilian central midfielder.
Meanwhile, right-back Sidibe could provide competition for captain Antonio Valencia if he moved to Old Trafford.
Manchester United est toujours dans le dossier Fabinho. Discussions avec l’entourage mais toujours pas d’offre concrète à l’AS Monaco. Manchester United qui s’est positionné aussi sur Sidibe !

Football Insider verdict:
Fabinho has been an integral player for Monaco in recent years and the midfield enforcer looks cut out to play in the Premier League. The defensive midfield provides a great screen in front of the backline and has also been useful in front of goal this season, scoring five eight goals and supplying five assists in 45 games. Mourinho could do with improving the options in his squad if they are to get close to Manchester City next year and Fabinho is good enough to come into the starting XI. His physical presence is certainly something that will mould well in Mourinho’s side and he could form a brilliant understanding alongside Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba. Sidibe is another interesting transfer target for the Red Devils and adding another full-back should be a priority this summer. The 25-year-old Frenchman is renowned for being an attacking defender and weighed in with eight assists across all competitions for Monaco this season.
In other Manchester United news, Rangers should try to sign this player reportedly available at Old Trafford this summer.
