Marc Cucurella jokes at Chelsea teammate for ‘not staying humble’ in new message
Filip Jorgensen and Marc Cucurella both played their roles in Chelsea’s UEFA Conference League victory against Real Betis.
Enzo Maresca‘s side ended an inconsistent season on a high with both Champions League qualification and the Conference League title in a matter of days, thanks to a run of six wins in their last seven games.
Chelsea climbed from sixth to fourth in the Premier League table over the last five weeks of the season, and a 4-1 victory over Real Betis was the icing on the cake after their final-day win at Nottingham Forest.
As a result, the Blues became the first club in history to win all five of UEFA’s competitions including the old Cup Winners’ Cup, and several members of Maresca’s squad have been recognised for their efforts.

Jorgensen reflects on Chelsea success after difficult season
Goalkeeper is expected to be a top-priority position as Chelsea line up reinforcements in the summer transfer window, with Jorgensen and Robert Sanchez both ridiculed for their Premier League displays.
On the continent, however, Jorgensen impressed with five clean sheets and just nine goals conceded in Chelsea’s run to the Conference League title, including Abde Ezzalzouli’s early opener in the decider.
Alongside Tosin Adarabioyo, Enzo Fernandez and the final’s star player Cole Palmer, Jorgensen was named in the Conference League’s team of the season on 29 May, and posted on Instagram afterwards.
In his post (1 June), Jorgensen included a selection of images from the decider in Wroclaw, to which his Blues team-mate Cucurella jokingly commented: “Zero humilde”, meaning “no humble”.
Jorgensen to be axed as Chelsea prepare keeper transfer
Jorgensen’s form in Europe has rightfully earned him plaudits from Chelsea fans and UEFA officials, but just six Premier League appearances suggest that the Dane won’t be Maresca’s first choice next term.
Chelsea fans are desperate to see the return of Strasbourg loanee Djordje Petrovic this summer as an alternative to Jorgensen and Sanchez between the sticks, despite the latter’s 10 league clean sheets.
Maresca will still be on the hunt for a new number one at Chelsea after some high-profile errors by his incumbents this term, with Sanchez and Jorgensen’s performances overshadowed by Petrovic and another loanee in Kepa Arrizabalaga.
