Marco Silva a no-go: Three outside bets Everton must consider after reported rejection
Carlo Ancelotti (28/1)
It’s really odd that Moshiri would want Diego Simeone as the next Everton manager, despite him being contracted to Atletico Madrid, than the currently unemployed Ancelotti.
The Italian was sacked by Bayern Munich after a poor start to the season in September and is still without a job, so surely he would be an easier ‘big-name target’ for Moshiri to go after.
It wouldn’t harm the Toffees by making an approach – Newcastle managed to swoop for Rafa Benitez even though their relegation was almost nailed on and that was a huge surprise.
Ancelotti is a tried and tested winner with AC Milan, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid so there is not much risk in snapping him up.
SkyBet currently has Watford boss Silva still at evens favourite to be the next man in charge while the outside bets odds may start to shorten the longer this manager search goes on.
In other Everton news, the Toffees have struck a midfielder agreement with this English club.
