Marcus Rashford ‘nowhere near where he should be’ at Man United amid Sky update – pundit
Paul Robinson has claimed Man United star Marcus Rashford is “nowhere near where he should be”.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-England number one said Erik ten Hag’s side are in “trouble” if they have to rely on the 24-year-old and Anthony Martial to provide the goals this season.
Rashford has started on the left wing for the Red Devils in losses against Brighton and Brentford.
According to Sky Sports (12 August), Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing the England international but are unlikely to make a concrete move.
The forward missed out on Gareth Southgate’s latest England squad.
When asked by Football Insider if Rashford was in danger of missing out on going to the World Cup, Robinson said: “Rashford is nowhere near where he should be.
“His form is not good enough. It is as simple as that.
“Manchester United have a lot of problems and Rashford is one of them.
“If Manchester United sell [Cristiano] Ronaldo they may have to rely on Anthony Martial and Rashford to play through the middle. If they is to be the case they will be in trouble. Neither are good enough number nines in my opinion.
“Rashford is nowhere near the level he needs to be.

“He is of an age nowhere he needs to step up. He is not a youngster anymore. It’s not a case of ‘his time will come.’
“He is struggling in a team that is struggling. Where is his best position?”
