Mark Lawrenson predicts Tottenham v Southampton
By Dominic Toner
Mark Lawrenson has predicted Tottenham to beat Southampton in their clash on Sunday.
The two teams meet at White Hart Lane in the Premier League and both arrive in good form.
Spurs have won their last three consecutive games, including a 6-0 demolition of Millwall in the FA Cup quarter-finals in their last match.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be without talisman Harry Kane as he recovers from an ankle injury, but are second-placed in the league table and boast the only undefeated home record in the top-flight.
Meanwhile, the Saints were beaten narrow by Manchester United 3-2 in the EFL Cup final recently, but have recorded back-to-back away victories in the league.

BBC pundit Lawrenson has tipped Spurs to strengthen their position in the top four and backed a 2-0 scoreline in their favour.
“Southampton are a strange team and very difficult to predict, but I am going to go for a scruffy Spurs win – even without Kane, they still should have enough,” Lawrenson told BBC Sport.
Spurs managed to record a comprehensive 4-1 away win in the previous meeting with Southampton this season, courtesy of goals from Dele Alli (2), Heung-Min Son and Kane.
They have been stronger at home this season and will start as favourites for the three points, despite the loss of their talisman Kane.
Pochettino’s side currently have a six-point gap over rivals Arsenal in fifth, but have played a game more.
The north London club are unlikely to bridge the 10-point gap to runaway leaders Chelsea and will be more focused about securing a spot in the Champions League next season.
