Mark Lawrenson predicts Tottenham v Swansea
By Dominic Toner
Mark Lawrenson has backed Tottenham to record a narrow win away to Swansea on Wednesday night.
The north London club visit the Liberty Stadium for a Premier League clash and will be aiming to keep their title momentum going.
They earned a 2-0 win over Burnley at the weekend and that result has drawn them to within seven points of table toppers Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Swansea are facing a relegation battle this season and a goalless draw at home to Middlesbrough means they are just a point above the drop zone.
BBC pundit Lawrenson has previewed the game and believes that Spurs’ defence will be too strong, tipping a 1-0 scoreline in favour of the visitors.

“Fernando Llorente will be a big miss for Swansea if he is still out injured, but I would back Tottenham’s defence to cope with him anyway,” Lawrenson told BBC Sport. “Swansea are just starting to stutter a little bit, but Spurs just seem to keep going.”
Swansea manager Paul Clement has revealed the fitness of striker Fernando Llorente is “tough and go” ahead of the match against Spurs.
Pochettino’s side will be confident of keeping a clean sheet against any frontline as they have the best defensive record in the top flight.
They have conceded just 21 goals during their 29 league games and have proved they can use either a back three or a back four set-up.
Spurs have demonstrated the strength in their squad by having Ben Davies and Kieran Trippier as replacements for England international Danny Rose and Kyle Walker in the full-back positions.
In other Tottenham news, Gary Neville has delivered his verdict on the club’s title chances.
