Martin Keown has claimed that Tottenham ace Dele Alli is “hands down” the winner for the PFA Young Player of the Year award.
The 21-year-old has been shortlisted for the prestigious award alongside Harry Kane, Romelu Lukaku, Michael Keane, Jordan Pickford and Leroy Sane.
Spurs’ attacking midfielder was omitted from the senior list, despite scoring 16 league goals so far this season.
The England international has become a crucial first team player for Mauricio Pochettino’s side this season and is trying to steer them towards their first ever Premier League title.
Keown made his selection for the Young Player of the Year award and delivers his emphatic verdict on who the winner should be.

“Dele All. Hands down. He’s only just turned 21 but he is a matchwinner. Alli is so balanced and is clearly enjoying everything he does,” Keown told the Daily Mail.
Alli has continued to grow into one of the league’s most feared players and has enjoyed a huge rise following his arrival at White Hart Lane in 2015 from MK Dons.
The playmaker is now a regular for England’s national team and has been performing to a high standard consistently this campaign.
He has made 42 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring 19 goals and suppling 10 assists in return.
Alli was unable to prevent Spurs being dumped out of both the Champions League and Europa League this campaign, but they are in the FA Cup semi-finals against Chelsea this month.
They are also battling the Blues for the league title and the form of Alli could still play a huge role in the race for the crown.
In other Tottenham news, Rio Ferdinand has made a huge claim about the club’s ace.
