Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that star striker Alexandre Lacazette will miss the Premier League clash with Manchester United on Saturday, and fans are fearing the worst on Twitter..
The club record signing scored his seventh goal of the season in the 5-0 win over newly-promoted Huddersfield Town at the Emirates Stadium last night.
The Frenchman put the Gunners ahead with a clinical finish but had to be substituted at half-time and was replaced by Olivier Giroud, who scored two goals.
After the game, Arsenal boss Wenger confirmed the news that no Gunners fan wanted to hear.
“Lacazette has a groin problem and he will certainly be out for Saturday’s game,” said Wenger, as quoted by the Sun.
“It is an injury, it looked like a groin injury so he might be out for a while,” added the Gunners manager.
Here are some of the best reactions from Arsenal fans on hearing the news:
Depending upon the severity of Lacazette's injury, looks like we might be heading into the festive period with Alexis as the main striker.

I'd have drawn the game today if it meant Lacazette staying fit, awful news

Lacazette out is awful if it’s for any sort of long period, but for United Welbeck is more than capable of stepping up. He always does against them

Arsenal face Manchester United in Premier League action at the Emirates in Saturday’s late-kick off. The Gunners will go into the game four points behind Jose Mourinho’s side, who beat Watford 4-2 on Tuesday.
Wenger’s side will go into the game full of confidence after last night’s result. After Lacazette put them ahead the Gunners laboured for more than an hour against the disciplined Terriers, but Giroud doubled their lead on 68 minutes.
Goals from Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and a second for Giroud confirmed the victory.
Arsenal have won all of their last three Premier League matches and have scored 20 goals in their last seven home games, conceding just four.
In other Arsenal news, Wenger has heaped praise on this Gunners star for his “relentless” work in midfield.
