Celtic fans are undecided on Twitter after a report stated the Hoops were expected to complete a move for Sunderland striker Fabio Borini this summer.
The Chronicle claim the Bhoys are likely to clinch a £6million deal for the striker, which would see Rodgers team up with Borini for a fourth time.
The duo worked together at Chelsea during Rodgers’ time as a youth coach, before the Northern Irishman signed him at Swansea and then again at Liverpool.
Borini, 26, is available this summer after his relegation release clause was activated following the Black Cats drop to the Championship.
The one-time Italy international has scored just two goals in 26 games this season for the Wearside club, as they lost 26 of their 38 league games before finishing rock bottom.
Celtic fans have reacted on Twitter to the reported interest in Borini, with some urging their club to look at other targets while some think he would be a good addition.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
do not want borini at celtic average player massively overpriced at £6m & turned against his own clubs fans.

Borini rumour back on the table. No bad signing but £6m?! That seems a lot for a player who hasn't shown much quality of late.

Not convinced he is the fittest he seems to burn himself up and not really finish games well.I will probably be proven wrong just opinion.

It remains to be seen if Borini wants to team up with Rodgers once again in his career, with two years still to run on his current Sunderland contract.
In other Celtic transfer news, Tam McManus has delivered his verdict on Jonny Hayes and claims these two Hoops stars will leave.
