Mathys Tel and Iliman Ndiaye react excitedly to Thierno Barry’s Everton message

Thierno Barry’s latest update grabbed the attention of multiple Premier League stars as the player settles into life at Everton.

The Toffees have splashed the cash since The Friedkin Group‘s arrival, with the striker being signed for £23million [BBC Sport] between deals for Carlos Alcaraz and Mark Travers.

Adam Aznou also appears close to an Everton move, solving problems in both full-back positions due to his versatility, and supporters are extremely excited for a full season under David Moyes’ leadership.

Under the 62-year-old’s reign, the Toffees moved far away from the Premier League relegation zone, finally finishing 13th, just eight points off the top half, even after Sean Dyche’s awful start.

With so many changes, it is impossible to name just one exciting thing to look forward to next season, but supporters are anxious to see Barry get started in England after impressing in Spain.

Tottenham’s Mathys Tel replied: “Ahaha, my number 11,” and was joined by Everton duo Idrissa Gueye and Iliman Ndiaye, who both liked the striker’s post.

Football Insider verdict

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Asmir Begovic, and Ashley Young have all departed as free agents, and these exits signify a passing of the torch on Merseyside this summer.

These changes were needed long ago, but with Farhad Moshiri in charge of matters at Goodison Park, the Toffees continued to fall further behind on the pitch and further down the Premier League table.

An influx of youthful, exciting, new players is exactly what is needed ahead of the new season, with Jarrad Branthwaite also agreeing new terms at Everton despite interest from elsewhere.

Mick Brown told Football Insider that Everton plan to accept a £25m offer for Beto, and if that is the case this summer, a replacement striker to back up Barry will be integral to success next term.

Ndiaye, Alcaraz, and Branthwaite are all proven, young stars in the Premier League. The club’s new transfer plan is clear for all to see, and it’s exciting for the years to come.

Moyes is already a much-loved figure on Merseyside, with fans reliving his spell from 2002 to 2013, and whatever happens next season, fans are fully behind him, as are the board this summer.
