McAvennie adamant Morelos is staying at Rangers after source’s update
Frank McAvennie claims Alfredo Morelos will stay at Rangers amid mounting transfer speculation.
The Celtic icon, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the Gers can’t afford to let Morelos go.
Turkish newspaper Tavkim claimed on 16 August that Morelos is on a three-man shortlist for Super Lig side Fenerbache.

Morelos, 25, almost joined Lille last summer but stayed and helped Rangers to an invincible league season.
On 26th June, Football Insider revealed Rangers have told Porto that they want £13million for their star striker.
However, the latest from an Ibrox source is they could even accept a lower price in the final weeks of the window.
McAvennie insists the lack of concrete offers for Morelos this summer is proof that Morelos will be staying.
“At the end of the day, someone has to buy you,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He’s at Rangers until an offer comes in. There haven’t been any offers this summer and I’m not sure that will change.
“You have to play the players you have. I said last week that Rangers have planned for the Champions League money.
“I got loads of stick for this but it’s all good fun. A lot of people are expecting sales but have there been offers? Not that we know of.

“Morelos might stay, he’s not handed in a transfer request has he? So he’s not desperate to go.
“At the moment, Rangers can’t leave him out and there’s no time to replace him. I’d be shocked if he went now. He would be a massive loss.”
