McAvennie makes ‘massive’ Aston Villa transfer prediction after major departure confirmed
Frank McAvennie claims Aston Villa won’t make any more signings this summer.
The former Villains striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insists the club have already spent the fee they received for Jack Grealish.
Villa have had a busy summer, signing Emi Buendia, Ashley Young, Leon Bailey and Danny Ings with Alex Tuanzebe also arriving on loan.

The only major departure was Grealish, who left the club in a £100million deal.
Villa lost their first game of the season 3-2 to Watford and it had been suggested that the Grealish money could be spent on bolstering the defence.
McAvennie insists the defence is not an issue and claimed there is no money left to sign any more players anyway.
“I don’t think they need any more defenders,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Mings and Konsa did a very good job last season, the only thing that’s changed is Terry’s not there.
“They worked under him for so long so they know what they are doing.
“A new team takes time to gel, how many times have we seen it now?
“There is certainly no need to panic. I think they might be done, to be honest.
“It looks to me that they spent the Grealish money before actually selling him.
“Why is no one is talking about this, I think the money has gone, it’s over. I’ve been wrong before but I don’t expect any massive signings now.”

John Terry left Villa’s coaching team earlier this summer after spending three years at the club.
Villa won their second game of the season and kept a clean sheet against Newcastle in a 2-0 win.
In other news, Aston Villa could still sign Ward-Prowse next week after development – Phillips.
