McLeish makes Kent sale claim after journalist's £15m Rangers reveal
Alex McLeish has suggested Rangers will demand over £15million for Ryan Kent between now and the end of the transfer window.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gers boss insisted the 24-year-old would cost more than the eight-figure fee if he was playing in the English Championship.
As reported by the Sun journalist Alan Nixon (August 15th), Kent could cost potential suitors around £15million.
As revealed by Football Insider in April, Kent wants to stay at Ibrox for another year amid interest from Leeds United.
This site has since detailed how the Whites have moved on to other attacking targets.
McLeish admitted Kent’s sale could bring in funds for Rangers to reinvest.

However, he suggested Rangers would demand more than the reported price tag.
McLeish told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “In this market, if he was playing in England with maybe a Championship teams, at his young, tender age, he would probably cost even more than that.
“I think the potential of Kent over the last year has been really, really good. I know a lot of people thought he was the catalyst last year.
“Kent undoubtedly makes the goals for these guys.
“At £15million, at some stage, you can see Rangers doing a bit of business somewhere. Every week we talk about Rangers being linked with this guy or that guy. Who are they going to buy?
“If they get that kind of money for him, I think they’d probably push for a bit more.”
Kent’s contract at Ibrox is set to run until 2023.
He scored 13 goals and contributed 15 assists in 52 appearances for the Light Blues last season.
