Medical booked: Celtic bid for Starfelt accepted – Sources
Celtic have had a £4.3million bid accepted by Rubin Kazan for defender Carl Starfelt, Football Insider understands.
The Scottish giants are finalising the capture of the Sweden international, 26, after a breakthrough in negotiations.
A Celtic source has told Football Insider that Russian outfit Kazan have agreed the fee and structure of the deal for Starfelt and he has been given the green light to undergo a medical.

That is set to take place overseas as the Scottish giants look to push through the capture of the centre-back.
They want a new signing registered in time to feature in their Champions League qualification tie against Midtjylland, although the deadline is 15th July for that clash.
Celtic have made it a priority to sign at least one senior centre-back this summer.
They are in the market for a replacement for Kristoffer Ajer, who is keen to quit for a Premier League or top European club.
Celtic have rejected bids from Norwich City, Brentford and Bayer Leverkusen for the Norway international.
The Hoops are also down on proven defenders after 2020-21 loanee Shane Duffy returned to parent club Brighton.
Starfelt has been targeted for his proven calibre and international pedigree.

He is a three-times Sweden international who made his name at IF Brommapojkarna and Gothenburg in his homeland before joining Rubin Kazan in the summer of 2019.
He made 29 league starts among 31 appearances in all competitions last season as the Russian club finished fourth in the league.
