Medical Booked: Chelsea lose out on Hakimi as he finalises mega-money PSG move
Achraf Hakimi has arrived in France to complete a £60million move to Paris Saint-Germain after Chelsea withdrew from the race, Football Insider understands.
The Premier League giants have pushed hard for the capture of the full-back and were in pole position earlier this month.
But a recruitment source has told Football Insider that Hakimi is now putting the finishing touches to a blockbuster PSG deal.
The French big guns have agreed a fee with Inter for the Morocco international.
He will undergo a medical in the coming hours and put pen to paper on a long-term contract with PSG.
Football Insider revealed earlier this month (June 10th) both Chelsea and PSG had offered £56.1million for the 22-year-old.

Hakimi joined the Italian giants from Real Madrid for around £40million last summer and still has four years left on his contract.
The Blues hoped to use players in part exchange to beat the French heavyweights to his capture.
However, Inter have stood firm with their £68.8million asking price after his outstanding displays at the San Siro.
He featured in all but one of Inter’s league matches as they secured the Serie A title for the first time in 11 years.
The 31-cap international proved his worth as one of the most highly-rated wing-backs in world football with seven goals and 11 assists across all competitions.
It is understood PSG have now agreed a fee with Inter to deal a blow to Chelsea’s recruitment plans.
Reece James featured regularly at right-back for the Blues during the 2020/21 campaign, with 47 appearances under his belt.
Meanwhile, Cesar Azpilicueta played predominantly as a centre-back in his 43 outings.
