Wycombe Wanderers are in advanced talks to sign Hibernian attacker Daryl Horgan, Football Insider can reveal.
The 28-year-old was left out of the the Hibs squad that lost to Aberdeen yesterday as his return to England moves closer.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that the winger is set to be granted permission to undergo a medical and finalise personal terms with the Championship club.
He has one year left on his contract at Easter Road having arrived from Preston North End in the summer of 2018.
Horgan has started the Scottish Premiership season brightly with two assists in his first five appearances to help Hibs to second in the table.
The Republic of Ireland international, who has six caps to his name, plays predominantly on the left flank but can switch to the right if required.
He has spent the majority of his career in his native Ireland and played for Sligo Rovers, Cork City and Dundalk FC.
His previous 40 appearances in the Championship with Preston North End yielded three goals and four assists.
Horgan looks set to become Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth’s fourth signing of the summer, with Gile Phillips, Jason McCarthy and Uche Ikpeazu already through the door at Adams Park.
The 2020/21 season will be a historic campaign for Wycombe Wanderers as the club grace the EFL Championship for the first time in their history.
