The long-running transfer saga over Liverpool midfielder Emre Can looks set to reach its conclusion today after months of speculation.
Can is out of contract at the end of the month and Juventus announced today that the 24-year-old was set to undergo a medical in Italy ahead of his free transfer.
The news was announced on the official Juventus Twitter page on Thursday morning.

Football Insider verdict:
There’s no doubting how good a player Emre Can is and he showed that after settling in at Liverpool after a shaky start. However, the Liverpool fans will be glad to see the back of the player they see as turning his back on Anfield and Jurgen Klopp. In terms of pure playing ability fans will be sad to see him go, but they want players that are proud to play for Liverpool and who want to bring silverware back to Anfield. Can won’t get that chance after spending three years at Liverpool after arriving for close to £11million from Bayer Leverkusen. Losing him on a free transfer isn’t ideal – he’s worth a lot more than the price Liverpool paid for him now – but sometimes that’s just the way things go in football. It’s afforded Can a great move on presumably lucrative terms at a club with a great footballing heritage. Now, can we get Juventus v Liverpool in this year’s Champions League please?
