Medical tomorrow: Liverpool forward Millar jets out to finalise transfer after bid accepted
Liverpool forward Liam Millar is jetting out to Switzerland to undergo a Basel medical tomorrow, Football Insider understands.
The Canada international, 21, will put the finishing touches to the move after the Merseysiders accepted a £1.3million offer.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Basel upped their first bid for Millar from £1million to get the deal over the finishing line.
That has been accepted by Liverpool and the versatile attacker has been given the green light to fly out and seal the switch.
As revealed by Football Insider on 29th June, Millar had already agreed personal terms with Basel.
It is regarded in Switzerland as a major coup for Basel.

There has been extensive interest from Championship and League One clubs in Millar, as well as from a Major League Soccer team
Millar spent the first half of last season at Liverpool starring for their Under-23s before joining Charlton Athletic on loan in January.
He made 27 appearances for the Addicks, scoring three times and supplying six assists.
That included 23 league starts, mainly operating on the left side of the attack.
Millar also racked up 14 appearances for the Liverpool Under-23s last season, scoring five goals.
He had a spell on loan at Kilmarnock in 2019-20 – his second at the Scottish club – and has been capped 11 times by the Canada national side.
Millar has played just once for the Liverpool first team since signing from Fulham in 2016.
